“Great, great podcast. I love this podcast for so many reasons. It's real - so real. You are a fly on the wall to someone else's experience, and in hearing these incredible, devastating moments, I'm becoming a more empathic and compassionate person. You never know what someone is carrying. Every single episode, regardless of the topic, I find myself connecting to bits and pieces and making better sense of my own experiences.
It is mostly talk therapy (psychotherapy) but Hillary also uses EMDR in a few episodes. As someone who is also doing EMDR therapy it was very insightful to listen in on someone else's experience. When you initially start it does feel unusual, and the media hasn't really nailed it either so this was helpful for me.
