About Race? About Time....
This is the podcast I've been waiting for. There are many podcasts about race, but most are self-congratulatory jargon-filled excercises in spouting the obvious. What makes this podcast work is that Baratunde is really smart, and Rachel is truly incisive, and Tanner is unafraid to speak his mind from his perspective. The commenter that felt Tanner's role was to listen and learn migth be right for off-the-air, but on-air what makes this podcast interesting is that [a] Tanner Colby is opinionated, but in a refreshing twist, he's opinionated from a white, anti-racist point of view; and [b] Baratunde and Rachel are able to back up their opinions by articulating complex thought. Really, really fun to listen to---another worthy addition to a supurb slate of Slate podcasts!Read full review »
