It does what it says...
The premise that people relax and open up over a table of food is demonstrated to be true and happens very naturally on this podcast. The guests are famous, and even the choices they make from the menu (which is very natural including their dialogue with the waiter) is revealing. Jay bucks the usual trend of the interviewer and his own thoughts and personality are a big part of the conversation and banter. He slips in some very probing questions and gets away with it. Have listened to the Grayson Perry episode twice and may listen again. Clichéd I know, but it does feel like you’re sitting on an extra chair at the table (although, sadly, you can’t order from the menu).
