Episode 832 Dream Maniac Demon Killer

In this episode, Bill and Doctor Professor Bricklemyer discuss two movies: Dream Demon and Maniac Killer. They also talk about their kids' activities and upcoming hiatus. Dream Demon is a film that explores the theme of dreams and hauntings, taking inspiration from Nightmare on Elm Street. However, the execution falls short, leaving the audience unsure of what is haunting the protagonist. The lack of clarity extends to the role of the press in the story, as they are presented as potential villains but are not fully developed. The inconsistent character designs, particularly in the portrayal of the main antagonist, further detract from the film's effectiveness. The identity confusion between the young girl and the adult protagonist adds to the overall lack of coherence in the storytelling. Despite these flaws, the film showcases impressive practical effects, particularly in a memorable scene involving a silicone ear. Overall, Dream Demon receives a mediocre assessment due to its weak storytelling and lack of a clear narrative. In this conversation, Bill and Doctor Professor Bricklemyer review the films 'Manic Maniac Killer,'' They discuss the plot, characters, and inconsistencies in 'Manic Maniac Killer,' highlighting its Italian trash charm. They give their grades and recommendations for each film.

Great Podcast! But… Rev Scott no more!

I have listened to this podcast from the start. Love it. Support it whenever I can. I do the Patreon. I don’t always agree with Bill and Mr Chris. I’m sure they wouldn’t always agree with me! But that’s ok. At least they watch the movies about which they speak and review. I used to enjoy and have a modicum amount of respect for the Reverend Scott until the latest episode. I don’t think I can listen to him anymore after this. I will now turn the show off before his segment airs. Thankfully it is at the end. He based his not viewing of a TV show on a YouTube review site. It’s like the people that judge a show based on clips or a condensed YouTube thing without actually experiencing it for themselves… or those that read spoilers before they see something and tarnish the experience. This segment was about Picard. While I enjoyed the series, I understand those that may not and simply want the same thing they always got before. He never even watched the first two seasons because of something he watched on a YouTube channel. I cannot respect or listen to anyone that cannot make their own judgement about something. They have to be told what to like? This is sad. And it’s sad that I will now be turning off the show before it is over.
