Delightful and informative

This podcast is always a treat. Fascinating background and insights on music and musicians with the technical bit carefully explained. The hosts are charming and do a great job balancing fun and information. Almost every show I learn just the best new things about music I know and music new to me. Highly recommended!

Fantastical Musical Wanderings From Past To Present.

I love this podcast because it gives insight on the lives of classical musicians, all the while recognising how interconnected we are: that one can speak about the rhetorical devices in Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons” and the rhetorical devices of Revered Al Sharpton at the funeral of George Floyd in the same podcast is extremely grounding during such a disjointed time in history. To connect the classical arts to everyday life and that, in fact, it is not inaccessible in our current society. If you want to learn about historically informed performance practise, HIP, and still get a bit of Beyonce this is what to put in your ears! I use it in my teaching for developing students critical thinking about musical and cultural relevance in our historical art form.
