“I just discovered this podcast and it's my new favourite. Craig and Andrew are at once articulate and funny, and their in-depth reviews are some of the most intelligent I've heard. Their review of Outlander is probably the best review of that book (one of my favourites) I've ever heard - they really got into the interesting underlying themes of the book rather than glossing over the surface details and action (for example: can a woman have agency in 18th century Scotland; how does a time traveller's perspective frame the story; how to consider infidelity; how does a marriage work). “I originally liked this podcast but Andrew's fake, over-the-top laughter at Craig's jokes has worn thin. Also, the podcasts now run too long. I'd probably come back if they tightened them up by cutting down on the irrelevant chatter and, again, fake laughter.”Read full review »
