Really enjoyed listening to this on my travels!

They've slowly lost direction, and the show is no longer about inventions, and patents. The latest episodes prove this: Patriarchs, and Humans vw Things. You've lost me, goodbye!Read full review »

This has been such a wonderful, educational and personally edifying show for me. I can’t tell you how sad I am to hear that it will be discontinued!!! Listening was my guilty pleasure. So many talk about binge watching. Well I was a binge listener!! Dallas, I really hope you are able to come back...Read full review »

I discovered this podcast completely by accident - what a wonderful find. Full of all those Google Question of the Day answers! I have one for you - who/ when was it decided which was left and which was right?

These podcasts are fascinating and humorous. Worth binging from the start… until it’s return 🤞 Come back soon Dallas!

I am sad that Patented will not be producing more episodes. I have loved everything about this show… Especially Dallas!

I heard about this via another podcast and I am now hooked! Working my way through the previous episodes and loving it. Thanks for making it easy to understand- have recommended to lots of others including my 16 year old son 😊😊

Try doing an episode of the top 10 best inventions

Had to stop listening. Presenter seems to want to derail valuable contributions from fantastic contributors with inane comments. For example on the cinema episode he talked about nothing of value and what friends they both knew. This meant the first useful question took place after more than 5...Read full review »

I’d like to start of by saying Dallas does a great job on his podcast. I love the different themes he explores and the idea of a podcast about the history of inventions is great, I personally think he executes it really well. Overall great podcast 👍🏻
6eer via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 06/24/23
The host isn’t qualified to host a podcast about the history of inventions. He is deeply ignorant and asks questions that reflect this.
Negzilla via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 06/21/23
These are fascinating podcasts. In every episode, Dallas Campbell takes a subject, not always obviously interesting and then, with the help of an expert, teases out a whole fascinating story about how it has impacted history, society, technology and humanity. The whole show is so relaxed and...Read full review »

That guest turned me off of the whole podcast. The host encouraged the nonsense. Once I looked up the guest I was not surprised.

This is a really interesting show with a really, really interesting concept, but the host Dallas Campbell is a total buttinski and keeps butting in and interrupting his guests. It seems to me he is constantly trying to show that he is cleverer than his guests, or that he knows more than his...Read full review »

I love the fact that this allows the presenter to range so far and wide in their search of subjects. How about an episode on the invention of dog food. It is a huge multi million £/$ industry, fiercely competitive with passionate proponents for ‘their way’ of feeding and an army of pet...Read full review »

A consistently fascinating podcast. Even for subjects that seem familiar, Dallas and he guests always find new and interesting aspects to cover. The audio levels aren’t always consistent but overall, well worth a listen.

It seems to take this fellow quite a while before getting around to telling us the story of how things were invented… no need to have to stretch things out. Just get to the point good sir.

Absolutely engrossing and addicting! Thank so very much Dalles for this unbeatable podcast. Your shows seems to cover a range of topics from everyday, mundane objects to the unthinkably complex. Please keep this podcast going! 5-stars is an understatement.

Love the program! Here’s a suggested product/patent to consider: bear spray! The stuff used to fend off attacking bears. How was this developed and does it work? Thanks for interesting and informative podcast that is also kind of funny sometimes 😁👍

Memories! When I started programming, on the Ferrari machine called Sirius, we programmed in binary and in autocode. We could create ‘loops’ which, if we decided to have fun, could create music on the machine. A ‘Programme of Sirius Music’. And this was in the 1960’s. We travelled to London to...Read full review »

Please try to keep the volume at a reasonably consistent level. I listen whilst exercising on my cycle trainer (so some ambient noise) and whilst 80% of the time the volume is fine, there are too many mumbled digressions that are inaudible. Many thanks.

When the topic is something that is invented I can learn something. When the topic ventures into theoretical issues, there are many podcasts that are better substantiated. Stay in your lane.
Jyvyffci via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 02/20/23
Good topics but had to give up on it the host keeps making adolescent and misogynistic jokes about his male member and adult films and confirms several times through his own admission that he is notvery bright. Not enlightened the dumbest and worst of the history-hit shows. Not for me. Beware.

Other from diversity of content, the invited guests are all great. Of course the host does definitely

I love this show. It’s always so interesting. Even when the episode topic isn’t necessarily something I ever thought I’d care about, I end up being very amused or awed by the end.

Of all the podcasts I’m subscribed to, this is the one I listen to first when a new episode comes out. It’s always fascinating and DC is a thoroughly engaging presenter.

My son and I listen to show whenever we are in the car. We love the show! There always seems to be interesting stories behind every invention. We’d like to hear about the invention of beekeeping…?

Great stuff - warmly, and accessibly presented - each episode is a surprising, informative and good humoured interview with an articulate subject matter expert about how something popular, every day or ubiquitous came into being.

Most histories are of politics, nation states, powerful individuals, war, or religion. Patented focuses on the innovations that ultimately change the world and make history.
