“Such a well made podcast about an important story. Quite frankly a heartbreaking story that should be more well known in Australia. If only both Margaret and Queenie had received the justice they deserved. My only constructive criticism is that there was a bit too much repetition over the episodes.”
“It was a different time. No domestic violence laws. Kids who were abused often didn’t tell anyone. rape was so common. When people say “the good old days” I often think for women and kids things are much better now. I grew up in the 1970s and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. Great podcast. She was...”Read full review »

“Thank you for restoring culture and traditions.. white indigenous people can make a difference together with aboriginals we can rewrite history.. blessings xx”
“Thank you so much for pursuing justice for Queenie. The respectful handover of Aunty Queenie is truly illuminating.
She could have just been a sidebar in the story, but in a way her family and Queenie have some comfort.”

“I feel the journalist is trying too hard to skew the story to fit her theory. She is trying to rationalise a purely irrational act (suicide) with what she thinks is ‘normal’. And trying to rationalise the acts of this poor woman suffering from heavy blood loss. I just don’t think you can look at...”Read full review »
“An intriguing story, well told by the presenter, but the audio quality of many interviews, which make up a lot of the show, is not very clear, making listening quite hard work!”

“One of my Favourite podcasts. The story, while extremely sad, was told with such compassion. It was a very intriguing story that kept my interest from the beginning right to the very end of the podcast. I felt such sadness for the family, the storyteller was to the point in her questioning and...”Read full review »

“Congratulations on such a thorough investigation. It's such a troubling story but your work must bring a sense of closure to so so many of those affected by it. The delivery and portrayal is refreshingly free of overdramatisation too, which lets down most productions in this genre.”Read full review »
“Overall, it’s a well researched podcast, but I couldn’t help but feel that the presenter was biased in favor of one theory/suspect. The investigation seesaws from murder to suicide to possible murder. While the suicide theory is supported by findings of the pathologist, and even an independent...”Read full review »

“Just found this podcast . Highly recommend. Opens a can of worms into how closed off Police in the 70’s were. Not enough investigation towards the theory of a possible murder. Facts speak but so does evidence. Maybe it was easier to close the case. I believe there another murder before this with...”Read full review »

“This podcast is so detailed it sometimes slows down the storytelling. While the reporting is quite good and it has a strong focus on the victim’s family, it loses steam and really should have been no longer than 6 or so episodes rather than 13.”

“Lots of interactions with people in the area at the time and also people with different associations with the victim. Didn’t find it hard to hear at all as per other comment I’ve seen.”

“Enjoying this so much. Lots of twists and turns. But at the heart of this story is a young life ended abruptly and a family left to somehow go on.
Then in the last episode a murder so cruel and heartless and because of the times not given the attention it deserved. A shameful crime in a shameful...”Read full review »

“Needs revision:important story dulled by constantly reporting inferred rumour - mongering and vile besmirching of the young victim- a woman (in a podcast by a woman presenter! ). This vile small talk is irrelevant! Women get murdered regardless of their age, standing, social activity! WKe Up! ALL...”Read full review »

“This had potential to be good but I feel there is too much focus on graphic descriptions of the wounds and asking the family how they felt when cleaning up the blood was very insensitive and was frankly unnecessary. I am not continuing to listen as it feel gratuitous rather than constructive...”Read full review »

“It’s would be a very interesting podcast If it were not of the poor audio quality. The gentleman who read the headstone his voice was very clear If he was to host this podcast it would be much better than the other muffled female voices”

“It took me a while to warm to this podcast, but glad i hung in there. Thought provoking, and told with empathy. I have a lot of respect for the presenter (can’t recall her name). “This is a really interesting story that I would like to hear more of, if the sound clips can be toned down. I feel that they are OTT and distract from the story rather than bringing it to life. Ironically, the sound for the family interviews was not great quality.”
