It has been a bit of a rollercoaster the past couple of days/weeks in the PSE. Last week, we've been hitting 7k points on the PSEi and now it's down to the 6.5k levels again. The same thing can be said for GMA7. After hitting its all time high 3 weeks ago, it's now down by around -20%. But does that really matter? Because if you look at the big picture, from last year's bottom, the stock is still up by around 147%. And if you take into account the dividends they gave this year, and assuming they'll give out the same amount next year, that's still a modest 11.34% dividend yield (or 10.21% after taxes). In addition to that, now they're looking towards becoming a conglomerate here in the Philippines. They want to venture out from the traditional media and content creation industry so that they can maximize the value they bring to their shareholders.
