Fragmented, awkward, frustrating
The format of the first ‘romp through’ episode is really off putting. The lecturer interacts with her live audience but we can’t hear their responses and her ability to smoothly integrate their points into a coherent presentation of the material is limited and so the overall effect is fragmented, awkward and frustrating. This format may well be effective pedagogy for the people there but I am not there. Maybe the format changes later on but I gave up after 20 minutes.

More reviews of Philosophy for Beginners
Great intro into some basic philosophic theories. Sound isn’t too bad but given at times there are interactions with the audience which are not picked up well by the microphone. For a university, professional sound recordings should be a given but the lecture is still well worth listening to.

“A romp through....” the recording is very tinny and distorted
