“This podcast is ideal for anyone who loves Jane Austen AND pop culture. I love how they break down not only the novels themselves but also the many, many Austen adaptations out there.
The one thing that makes me squirm a little bit is that sometimes Becca can be kind of condescending to Molly. By season 3, Molly has read two Jane Austen books and consumed tons of other Austen-related content, so she’s pretty well-versed in the topic now and makes lots of relevant points, but sometimes it feels like their dynamic is still “one person knows everything and has to explain everything to the other person who knows nothing.” I think Becca has only read one other book after Emma though, so it will be interesting to see how they approach a story neither of them knows anything about!”
