far better than any other poetry podcast
A couple years ago I searched hard for a decent poetry podcast, then gave up and thought about making my own. I got as far as buying a microphone and figuring out the software, then let it drift. This is much better than anything I would have done, so I'm satisfied at last. The host is not afraid to tackle controversial issues, and he has a down to earth quality very much needed in the world of poetry.Read full review »

Poetry Off the Shelf Podcast is so wonderful. Hearing the voices of the poets, the interviewers interjections make me feel as if I am part of a conversation. There is a lot of laughter in these podcasts and it reminds the listener poetry is contemporary, relevant and priceless.

The title says it all. The Poetry Foundation is doing some wonderful, necessary work via audio and Off the Shelf is part of that work
