“Let me say that I am an avid power and politics podcast consumer. Vassy Kapelos is a skilled interviewer and I appreciate her playing opposing positions for all topics. I have become more and more critical of CBC’s coverage in general, but especially when it comes to climate change and indigenous centred stories. I always hear the prairie provinces’ point of views, and it tends to lean very heavy on pro energy industry MPs or other Alberta/Ontario centric pundits. Where are the BC folks or the indigenous voices to speak to the issues, including on the pundit panels? It may have always been this way but the lens these stories are framed feels more and more about monied interests, and less and less through a climate change and indigenous land rights lens etc. The Wetʼsuwetʼen land crisis and proceeding protests across Canada has been blatantly obvious for me in the way power and politics and others have been covering the news. Let’s do better please, I will listen but cautiously and critically and hope for better.”
