Pepe Diokno is the multi-awarded film director behind Engkwentro, which bagged the Lion of the Future Award and the Orizzonti Prize at the 2009 Venice Film Festival. He is also the Chairman of Epicmedia, an independent film company behind box office hits like "That Thing Called Tadhana" and "Fan Girl."    He is also a director in Unitel Straight Shooters, one of the largest production and advertising agencies in the country. Thru his time there, he led the creation of viral commercials like Kwentong Jollibee (Date), Safeguard's (Manifesto), and Lazada's Pride Week (Apology).   He joins the show to talk about the offbeaten career of directing / producing films, the golden era (and downfall) of Philippine cinema, and the synergies between advertising and film!
