He is a consultant for Cardinal Santos Medical Center and is a tenured associate professor in the UST Faculty of Medicine & Surgery. He is also the previous president of the Philippine Ophthalmic Pathology and the Philippine Society of Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery.
