Gave me goose bumps…

The sound quality is amazing, the content is unique, and the podcast as whole has it’s on style that’s refreshing. The way the host recounts stories from his past and uses the soundbites to make you feel like you were there with him is brilliant. It honestly gave me goosebumps. This podcast is more than a podcast, it’s a short film in audio only form. Great job on standing out from the millions of other podcast out there.

Thought Provoking

You ever get something that you didn’t even know you were looking for? This show is a freaking hidden gem. It really helped me explore my own battles with mental health. I suggest everyone give it a listen. It’s real honest but an easy listen as well. Hard to have that combination

Normalize Talking About Mental Health

This is the straight-up best podcast about mental health. It’s a casual conversation that doesn’t shy away from any hard or heavy topics, and hearing the host’s personal experiences from the military and life in general is comforting because you know the discussion is coming from someone who has actually experienced what’s being talked about, instead of someone regurgitating a bunch of buzz words from some obscure TED talk or psychology lecture slides. With Mook being a veteran, obviously the show centers around discussing PTSD and the different forms and impacts of it, but he makes sure to remind listeners that veterans aren’t the only ones who experience PTSD, and he also takes the time to discuss other areas of mental health that don’t necessarily pertain to PTSD. The bonus episodes where he has guests on the show are an absolute pleasure to listen to, and the fact that he gives these people the platform to tell their stories and raise awareness of whatever it is that they’ve personally been through is both commendable and admirable, and I highly recommend that everyone that comes across this show takes the time to give it a listen. Whether you’re struggling with something or you think you’re perfectly fine, you’ll find something to gain from listening to this show, and you owe it to yourself to tune in
