Absolutely fantastic - Like a secret Santa present every week
I have to admit that the RA podcast series can be a little hit and miss. They feature some rather obscure European DJs and producers, and for people like me who don't know who all these clever people are, I sometimes press play and think to myself "erm... what's this?". However, this is also one of the series' strong points. Covering such a broad spectrum you can regularly find some wonderful hidden gems - either DJs or individual tracks. A couple of these have taken me in some interesting directions and opened me up to some stuff outside my usual zone - making downloading and listening to each episode totally worth it. A few notable episodes (shame they don't keep them all up) are RA 062 (Joris Voorn), RA 047 (Vince Watson) - both of which exposed me to an incredible world of techno. I'm sure RA 120 (Steffi) is permanently engrained on my iPhone's hard drive. RA 187 (Tensnake) is so damn brilliant it prompted me to write this review. If you like house, techno or any other form of electronic music, I recommend you subscribe to this now.Read full review »
