“I consider myself a writer activist and both my kids got to high school and started espousing seriously Right viewpoints. I tried not to react with emotion about it and would discuss this with them, trying to figure out what was happening. Their dad is what I would consider a liberal, too, and even though we were divorced, they obviously weren’t getting it from him.
Eventually, both of them tried to get me to watch Jordan Peterson videos, and with my son, who’s experience in life prarllels Caleb’s, we would argue or debate endlessly about those and Sargon’s videos. At one point, I actually said that Jordan Peterson was boring for being an I’m empathetic man, and my son was surprised. Peterson was exciting to my son, but here I was expressing boredom.
Daughter pulled out of this by eventually listening to Contrapoints! So many similarities, means this is happening a lot!
