Each week we pull a random monster from a random monster manual and discuss.
-
Grick
Another third-tier classic! Not your standard Underdark nasty basket. These babies are pack hunters, who share the same nesting site. So if you see just one, you best be wondering where the others be. Or you won't be seeing anything anymore.
-
Gibbering Mouther
A third tier D&D classic monster. Definitely gross. Some cool mechanics. Not something I'd ever want to run into. Despite not being a big, bad dragon that'll toast you in a breath, this thing is most definitely a nightmare.

Ithsyn
This week we dive into another new campaign setting, Numenera. A sci-fantasy, post-octo-apocalyptic world, where your imagination really, truly is the limit. And this colorful critter is just scratching the surface. Plus: why give a creature an ability that recharges after a rest?!

Cobblefright
From the truly delightful Humblewood setting, it's essentially their version of a Bone Golem. However, there're some pretty cool mechanics tacked on there. And we talk Humblewood in general, and all-around awesome campaign setting and sourcebook.
-
Doom Golem
A Winter nightmare conglomerate of bones and bits and bobs. With a dying man's breath and a lost soul for good measure. It's the most evil jambalaya out there.
-
Choker
A little guy who'll reach out and grab ya. And then choke ya. Rubbery arms, grippy fingies. He'll pick you up and take you to dinner. To be his dinner.

Great resource
This podcast has given me so much inspiration for my own campaigns that I almost don’t know where to start. I binged the whole series in the last few weeks and I’m bummed that they have stopped recording for the time being. Highly recommended for anyone who sits behind the DM screen
Great job gentlemen!
A little chatty and gets off topic a bit, but solid information!
Mostly agree
I agree that the Dragonne doesn’t present a lot of interesting combat options. I might use it as a creature in a transmutation wizard’s lab. The illustration you guys put up on IG looks pretty cool though. I get a sphinx-ness from it. It might be cool to use it as a quest beast. Make it one of a kind?
