In the first episode of Rangmanch, Bhawana Somaaya is joined by renowned Actress, Mita Vashisht. Mita is an NSD graduate and has worked with the finest filmmakers of all genres. She has flirted with all mediums- the stage, television and cinema but her heart beats for theatre and which is why, no matter how busy she gets, she takes out time periodically for theatre. Of the many plays she has performed one play continues to haunt her. Premiered in 2019 and continuing in 2020 Meeta combines A Play, a Film, and the Poet Within: Lal Ded’ Directed, conceptualised and performed by Meeta Vasisht, *Lal Ded* is a solo act; a theatrical collage of poems, songs, thoughts and philosophies of the medieval poetess Lal Ded from Kashmir. In this episode, she talks about the conceptualisation of her play and what went in bringing the authentic emotions in the saga.
