Jim Makes this Podcast Unlistenable
I was shocked to look at other reviews and see so many people complaining about Lisa. Her agreeable murmurs didn't distract me at all--they're the genuine reactions you'd expect an active listener to have in a conversation. Jim on the other hand sounded incredibly self-conscious and his constant appeals to authority ("this is what the science of profiling is" etc.) seemed really forced and beside the point. I'm sure as the show goes on everyone will settle into a more comfortable rhythm with one another, but I had to stop mid episode one because Jim was too domineering. He doesn't listen to anyone else and just re-asserts his superiority. It doesn't make for interesting dialogue. I hope these guys get good feedback and modify their conversational style a bit. I'll check back in a few episodes.Read full review »
