Long winded host
I agree with some of the previous posts. I have lost interest in the show for a couple of reasons. First, as much as I respect and admire Laura’s expertise on the subjects of coercive control, domestic violence, misogyny, etc. and understand her passion to attain equal rights and justice for women who have been victims of sexual assault and other crimes, I am tired of listening to her going on and on for a good portion of the podcast . She doesn’t give anyone else a chance to speak. Poor Lisa got to say maybe ten words in the episode I just listened to. It’s like the other two hosts totally dismiss her comments. Jim does a good job but also gets overridden by Laura’s long rants. The rants are not only long, but the same comments are repeated in almost every episode. The second reason I am losing interest is that I don’t particularly care about some of the Netflix or TV shows they spend a half dozen episodes to discuss. Tiger King? Ugh.

Great idea and the experts are fascinating. However, the conceit that Lisa is there to make sure the experts don't speak over our head or answer the questions the listeners might have is annoying and feels fake.Read full review »

...and I've listened to quite a few! Intelligent, well researched, and articulate. Jim and Laura aren't lemmings whose objectivity has been tainted by the emotional bias with which this film has been crafted. It's so nice to hear experienced expert opinion as opposed to generic half...Read full review »
