Episode 71 Behram talks about Arshdeep Singh playing for Madhya Pradesh in Ranji trophy. He plays for Punjab. Jarrod does his prep but. Or sure about Behram. Talks about mukesh Kumar and Arshdeep Singh playing for MP. A very good podcast though. It sometimes sticks when you know the prep hasn’t...Read full review »

These series of podcasts are so different and cover so many different aspects of cricket, always keeps the content fresh and interesting beyond the immediacy of a particular series

I can recommend this excellent Red Inker podcast from Jarrod Kimber with Jade Dernbach. Good for a pace bowler trying to figure out what to focus on with death bowling. Everything from technique development, the years of practice required and managing his confidence. Jade said it took him 3...Read full review »

JK provides weekly insights which you simply don’t get elsewhere. Wide ranging spectrum of topics, always interesting, with arguments backed up with stats or logic and some contrarian views to make you question your own position. YouTube channel also well worth a visit.

I really enjoy cricket and grew up watching it in the 90s. What Kimber does here is connect cricket to wider political, cultural and economic trends, while still keeping it tied to the sport itself. I’ve learned more about English cricket, how cricket broadcasts are and should be created, and...Read full review »

In my opinion Jarrod is the best cricket writer/podcaster out there. And these podcasts are absolute gold.

In my opinion, this is the best cricket podcast out there. Jarrod tackles a fascinating cricket related subject in each episode. I’ve loved every one, except the stuff on Indian cricket, because there’s too much content on Indian cricket anyway. The episodes on SA’s cricket board issues with...Read full review »

Every episode is great, because every episode goes beyond cricket. The stories are fascinating, the research is incredible, and it goes much deeper into any given subject than most podcasts. Superb podcast with thoughts on cricket from some of the most knowledgeable thoughtful fans, players and journalists in the world.

This podcast is such an education - focusing on the significant corners of the game that you might not know about, thinking about the meaning of people and events, and completely different from the nationalist focus of most cricket writing/audio.

Jarrod is one of those insanely talented people whose talent is not understood well enough. Creating top quality content is Jarrod’s thing, be it his written pieces on ESPN Cricinfo or his analysis videos on YouTube. You can see the amount of work he has put into his content, it is evident. Been a fan of Jarrod from his stints on Polite Enquiries and also for his articles on cricinfo. Really love both this podcast as well as Double Century. Jarrod Kimber’s [Host] work is consistently entertaining and while the bar for quality analysis in Cricket is fairly low, Kimber would still scale it if it were higher. Absolutely brilliant podcast. I have been cricket fan for all of my life. Never understood a game better than cricket. Even for me, Jarrod brings a different flavor or cricket through this podcast. Just finished listening Shan 2.0. Brilliant interview. Kudos Jarrod.

Fell into this after discovering it’s twin, Double Century. I thought, wrongly, it might be a bit too cricket badgery. On the contrary it’s at least as interesting as DC and with top drawer guests like Dan Norcross to boot. I hope you will get as much enjoyment out of it as I have.
Andy T 1961 via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 06/27/20
This is not about jazz. Jorrod Kimber has an enthusiasm and love of the game and equalled by his knowledge of statistics. For me the episode with Dan Norcross stands out as the epitome of his verve and vim.

Such fascinating insights into the global game of cricket. Jarrod’s story went from the ICC to the BCI and criss-crossed India to connect with the human beings behind the match-fixing scandals and was more insightful that 2 years of following the story in the papers

As ever Jarrod Kimber talks intelligently on a wide range of cricketing topics. Topics slightly outside the mainstream but all the better for that as hearing stories that you don’t normally here. Great podcast.

Orange7sisters via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 04/07/20
Really good podcast. First episode with the insightful Paul Radley starts with a bang. The second one with Barney busts the ludicrous myths that Jofra doesn’t try hard and doesn’t play through pain. Jarrod Kimber asks all the right questions. Really natural flow to the conversations too.
