From Great to Absolutely Awful
From what was my favorite true crime podcast to my most disappointing. I’ve listened to old episodes and the difference is subtle but powerful between now and then. There used to be such a sense of excitement, energy, and of doing the most engaging podcast for the people who listen. Now, it’s dismissive, entitled, and whatever energy you had for the people listening has waned to a level that it’s no longer evident. It sounds like you show up, talk about things in a very exclusionary and entitled manner, and leave. Lost is that obvious sense of passion for the work you’re doing. I have stayed on for several months now, trying to understand if I’m being overly sensitive and U.S. centric? Try that on yourself for the UK? I know it true crime, and I can hear pretty much anything, but several recent episodes were too explicit. I don’t remember the name of that beautiful young girl from India, but I do remember her entrails being ripped out by the cane those disgusting thugs used on her. Too much for me , and frankly, how is that respecting this young beautiful innocent victim by being so graphic and almost fan-doming the violence? Yes, you have NHS, and yes, the U.S has people who have to forego medicine to pay some other bills, it is a terrible situation, and one that continues to be undone. by that clown whose in the office now. The last President initiated universal coverage, meanwhile the idiot in office now has spent millions trying to repeal it. The recent horror in Minneapolis, and the necessary anger that has followed will hopefully change this country away from systemic racism that has been tolerated for too long!!! Stop sounding so above other cultures, more Hannah, you have become insufferable . Torture is disgusting and should not happen, and Iraq should never have been invaded. But let’s not forget the smudgy hands of Britain were all over both too. Why am I talking about politics after a true crime podcast? I’m as liberal as liberal can be, but, take a step back and remember why you got into this, what people loved about your podcast and ask yourself does it remain true today? I No longer my opinion, it’s lost me Red Handed is surely the BEST podcast I have had the good fortune to stumble upon. These articulate, insightful, humorous and obviously charming ladies deal with some of the darkest things man does to others, and despite the subject matter, it’s always done with tremendous respect, compassion, and an authenticity that I would encouraged other aspiring and current podcasters to take note. And their choice of and interjection using certain profanities adds, rather then detracts from the total enjoyment of these compelling and yes, heartbreaking and horrifying true crime narratives.

Suruthi & Hannah craft definitive, understandable timelines for the crimes they discuss, and they’re not afraid to disagree, which I really appreciate. They pick at even mundane details of the stories, poking holes in alibis or artificial narratives, but they’re not robotic or rehearsed....Read full review »

I'm really enjoying the series. It's a different story each week, they give you a lot of detail which they also debate together, and have good banter!Read full review »
