“Since turning daily and getting rid of Ariel, the episodes have varied in content, the subject matter remains in the same realm as before so it is still interesting, at least to me. But each day per week seems to be clearly just a 30 minute podcast they could do once a week but instead they’ve turned this into an advert trap, where the amount of time you spend listening to adverts is the same as the actual produced content!! What the heck!! Today’s podcast (Feb 18th 2021), was 4 minutes, half of it was adverts??!
Got to say we miss Ariel and the work she’d put into each podcast, from a totally detached POV, sitting here in Wales, U.K., it looks like Vox shoved Ariel out of the way with her bi-weekly podcast (that actually counted as a podcast! You can’t have a 1:1 ad:content model for a podcast, Quibi with adverts for the ears?? How well did Quibi go guys at Vox??), and replaced her with a male presenter (no offence Teddy, not your fault!), then reduced the show to what might be the most watered down, ad-wise, podcast that i’ve ever spent time listening to, and that’s a lot of podcasts over the past decade!
I say bring back Ariel Duheimross (no doubt misspelt, sorry!), remove the number of episodes a week back to one or two and you’ll have a podcast that deserves to carry the name... Hey Vox... Surely the numbers of listeners hasn’t been boosted and the ads are so frequent and content lacking, no one is going to be listening to them soon! Ariel was your presenter for this show, why change her?”
