High hopes; good start!
I’m impressed by the intelligent start to this series; it has been particularly pleasing to already hear diverse voices offering expert and thoughtful views, as this is certainly the time and the topic in which to give better weight to other than the Pale Stale Male commentators. (And I admit to ticking two of those boxes myself). I’m determined personally to seek silver linings in the Covid-19 clouds, so I welcome this push by the (still wonderful & never more necessary) BBC to look for ways life could be changed for the better, going forwards. I have high hopes the BBC’s Rethink guests and discussions will give all listeners much to think about, and many ideas for global and cultural improvements worth pursuing. Let’s hope nations have the courage to act on the obvious, and to question the status quo. Bravo, BBC, for corralling the global conversation!

For a short, thought provoking podcast it's a pity that the prospect of being assaulted by ads, time and again, from an habitually offending car manufacterer is unbearable. How come funding and message are so incompatible? Do American listeners get to hear ads for guns?Read full review »
