“During seasons 1-4, this was my absolute favorite podcast. On release day, I would refresh my feed endlessly just waiting for the new episode to drop and listen to each episode multiple times.
Unfortunately, season started to 5 feel different. Still good, but not like it used to be. Season 6 was extremely disappointing. The final episode about dogs in medicine was interesting, but beyond that I found myself listening to maybe half an episode and moving on.
I know a lot of work goes into producing a show like this one, but I miss the old style. Difficult subjects and riveting stories about race, police, and historical events. Now it feels more like a commercial with significantly less impactful stories.
I’m holding out hope that the next season returns to the original ‘feel’”
