Tobias Rees "Notes on Nature (Thinking the Human in Terms of the Non-Human)"

Tobias Rees "Notes on Nature (Thinking the Human in Terms of the Non-Human)"

For Tobias Rees, humans learn to set themselves apart from nature at the turn from the sixteenth to the seventeenth century. Interested in how categories that order knowledge mutate over time and the effects these mutations have on conceptions of the human, Rees writes about how the real is organized by modern templates for culture, society and technology.

Jackie Wang "Oceanic Feeling and Communist Affect"

Jackie Wang "Oceanic Feeling and Communist Affect"

For Jackie Wang, dreams are modes of thinking that do not capitulate to reality and everyday scenes of unjustness. Interested in the desire for life and mental structures that cannot be contained, Wang has been exploring the creative, social, and political implications of oceanic feeling as well as the enmeshment of the psychoanalysis of mysticism and psychoanalytic debates about religion. Tim Ingold "The Young, The Old And The Generation Of Now"

Tim Ingold "The Young, The Old And The Generation Of Now"

For Tim Ingold, imagining dissolves the boundaries between future and past. In his writings, imagination cannot be independent from perception and memory. Against the idea that finite futures are coming directly at us, Ingold locates imagination as an activity, technique and subject as part of everyday life, at the cusp of the continual creation of our world. Astrida Neimanis "We Are All at Sea"

Astrida Neimanis "We Are All at Sea"

For Astrida Neimanis, water facilitates the gestation of all life between human and non-human as well as elemental and geophysical beings. Neimanis’ feminist writings call for a planetary ‘hydro-commons’, a shift in attention towards bodies of water and new political paradigm that extends beyond the human and beyond the present. Federico Campagna "The End of the World(s)"

For Federico Campagna, reality varies with each era, civilization and new world, in turn shaping what is possible to do, think and imagine. In the talk, Campagna explores the challenges facing cultural producers standing at the threshold between different worlds and ages. What does it mean to make art, music, philosophy when a future is about to end, and a new time is as yet to begin? Great content

I love the content of the shows, but the way edition fills up everything with music is overly distracting and tires the listener quickly. People interested in good and rich discussion do not appreciate having busy wallpaper behind the art. Silence is a precious element for listening.
