light on data, but with feel-good anecdotes
If you want a less angry "go team," this is the place. (Don't worry, we still call liberals 'idiots' here.) But if you want a deeper look at anything political, try elsewhere. Rather than stake out and defend a position, Lileks too often condescendingly attacks some hypotheical liberal for crying about the end of the world. Sarcasm can be funny in small doses, but it seems like he uses it to hide from nuance, pretending we're all on the same page on every topic. Rob Long typically brings more to the table; I wish he was part of the discussion more often. Even so, I prefer a little more data to back up claims over "some guy I know at ..." An example of a typical line: "[Term limits] may be a bad idea whose time has come," because right now "we have more people" than they do. ... Guys! Have you looked at the numbers? I like the interplay between Lileks, Robinson, and Long almost as much as the content. It has been a lifesaver during this past election season. A must for people looking for a great center-right podcast.
