“I’ve listened to a lot of Stuff They Don’t Want You to Know team over the years. I respect what they do, they do put in work and have a lot of good info.
But this is unbearably corny. I get “corny” is sort of your style, but you lean way into it to an absurd degree. You guys are straight up painfully cringy to listen to.
It’s too bad cause you clearly put in a ton of effort and I love podcasts like this. But the jokes are just so, so bad. And the tangents, utterly terrible. It’s nothing against jokes or tangents, both are fine in a podcast.
But it’s just not you guys. The pod would be great if you reigned in the corny factor by about 80% and focused more on the stories/facts, and inject some jokes here and there but edit yourselves. It’s really painful to listen to. You’re hamstringing yourselves. This podcast could be way better.”
