The Immigraton Minister's being asked to use his descretion to grant residency to a hungarian family that's been given just over a month to pack their bags and leave the country. The couple and their three children came here from Hungary 6 years ago on an entrepreneurs visa and now operate several businesses including a Kapiti restaurant. In a social media post the family says after more than half a decade and even more case managers they've been lost in the labyrinth of immigration and their application for residency has been declined. More than 33,000 people have signed a petition supporting their bid to stay in aotearoa & National MP Chris Bishop has written to Minister Michael Wood to intervene.
