Tourism industry wants answers over visitor levy spending

The tourism industry remains in the dark about where millions of dollars collected through the international visitor levy will go. Most overseas visitors are charged the $35 fee through visa applications since it was brought in on the 1 July last year. Around $57 million was collected before the Covid-19 border closure, with funding to be split between tourism and conservation. Tourism reporter Tess Brunton reports.
