Glamorizes alcohol abuse regularly
Tech, games, movies, etc.--and perspectives on all of it that are both fun and interesting to listen to. Covers different stuff than other tech shows. Add it to your rotation! But I can’t give it the full 5 stars anymore. A really weird pattern has emerged, so strongly I cannot just ignore it. Many (most?) episodes glamorize alcohol abuse. They talk as though drinking to unhealthy excess is hilarious, fun, and cool. (Sometimes with a “wink! not really” token comment about the dangers, implying indirectly that only squares drink responsibly.) Talk that way in private, and do what you want to your body (I’m no puritan) but realize that you are role models for young people! Young people who die of alcohol poisoning, or accidents, or drunk driving accidents. Young people who may become addicted and ruin the entire rest of their lives. Young people who face both constant marketing and constant peer pressure that tells them alcohol abuse is normal, harmless, fun. They don’t need that same peer pressure coming at them from a random tech podcast too. I know it’s not intentional, but it keeps happening, again and again.

Really enjoying the back and forth between all the hosts. They all bring very fresh perspectives to a topic that’s sometimes very dry. I always look forward to seeing these episodes pop up on my podcast app! If you enjoy this, definitely check out Brianna Wu’s great gaming podcast, Isometric.

The cohosts are probably part of a government task force created to slowly have Christina realize what she is. One star deducted because...Read full review »

There’s a nagging feeling that the hosts contain immense potential for awesome profanity and it’s caged up... for what? Probably those mountains of podcast cash.
