“So many reviewers have given this podcast poor reviews because she said she doesn’t like pit bulls. There are so many more valid reasons than that to dislike this podcast:
* The narrator talks to an adult man like a child
* she doesn’t even learn rudimentary Spanish to cover a story in which most of the interviewees only speak Spanish
* she puts his sister at risk of being deported
* she vilifies the border patrol for doing their job
* she portrays herself as his savior that will magically heal him with her attention (will she still be visiting him in 5 years?)
* she doesn’t question a system that pays 4 million for a John Doe in a vegetative state when hundreds of thousands of Americans are losing their homes and savings because they cannot pay for medical treatment
* oh, and btw, the narrator of the commercials has got to go. She sounds like a bored teenager (she “spends countless nights” wondering about the damage to the planet that regular bed linens cause? Really?).
All in all, an interesting enough story that could have been told in a single episode.”
