“I may update my rating as I listen to the show. But after the first episode I give it 2 stars. Input from a brain injury physician is so important in cases like this that are full of misunderstanding. Likening suctioning to waterboarding is atrocious. Conscious people can suction themselves with certain conditions and it provides relief. Not being able to manage your secretions and choking on them would be more like waterboarding. It’s one thing to attest to the care needed to maintain someone in such a state but making it sound intentionally cruel is just erroneous. Also mentioning that “he’s in there” when he smiles and stating that his eyes moving towards you, therefore stating he has been diagnosed incorrectly also seems like big claims without talking a brain injury doctor. This story seems like one well worth the coverage. But do it right. Get expert opinions. I hope that you live up to it in future episodes.”
