Had to walk away
I discovered RT in 2004 with RvB season 1 and immediately became a fan. I bought DVDs and other merchandise and watched all their content. The podcast was a huge draw for me. Listening to them interact was always a fun distraction and, over the years, I would replay the older episodes just to revisit those experiences. As time has passed, the podcast has changed. Part of it is the passage of time as that original group and I have aged but there’s more to it. The new group have gotten more political, more preachy, and more condescending to any beliefs that don’t follow the latest liberal, SJW-influenced talking points. We have so much negative in our world that I looked to entertainment like RT for escapism. I listened to laugh but I slowly discovered I laughed less and less so there was no point in continuing. If you want a fun podcast, go to episode 1 and work your way to the present. If you want to escape (even for a moment) the dumpster fire our world can be, the episodes that have come out in the past years will be a disappointment.
