“I was looking for a companion podcast for my Succession binge and was surprised initially that Roycast was the only option for Season 1. Overall, the content is good and the main host Brendan definitely had a keen eye for TV and I enjoyed many of his references. The weekly guests were really good as well.
My biggest issue was the very poor production quality and the fact that the hosts weren’t together in the same room. The conversation is choppy and audio levels are all over the place.
Also, Kate, on of the hosts, seems to want to spoil upcoming events every episode. I had to fast forward at least once an episode to avoid being spoiled. Her voice is also grating to listen to.
This is fine enough as a S1 companion, but the Ringer and Sweet Smell of Succession are infinitely better companions starting in S2.”
