“As the description says, I do love the pod and have listened since the very beginning but I’m starting to get a bit frustrated with Ugo’s punditry.
Recently he tends to avoid any potentially difficult area of argument, for example on this Monday’s podcast the other pundits brought up the obvious argument that Farrell/Smith together doesn’t work and it played a part in the loss this weekend.
Ugo then proceeded to waffle for five minutes about how they were both brilliant players and any team would love this problem, rather than actually having an opinion on what England should do. I do feel like Ugo spends time just saying words than sound like an answer without actually answering the question.
Another example being him saying - I don’t want to get caught into the trap of saying that the Duhan van de Merwe try was because of a bad defence - well it was Ugo! So call it out, rather than just talking nonsense.
It’s so irritating!”
