Description
Are you a new runner trying to figure out why people love this running thing? Have you been a runner on and off throughout the years because somehow you would lose motivation or just feel like you don't like running anymore? If so, the you will love this interview with author Brendan Leonard about his new book I Hate Running and You Can Too: How to get started, keep going, and make sense of an irrational passion. And yes, if you already love running, then you will also really enjoy this episode. I Hate Running is a fun book full of pictograms that attempt to make sense of our irrational passion for something that most people find hard. Like many runners have heard before, our sport is every other sports punishment. For those that are not really sure they like running, the book might help convince them that they will if they stick with it. The book starts with an introduction, then has 13 chapters, and ends with an epilogue. The chapters are short and to the point with titles like: Get comfortable about being uncomfortable It’s only half about running There are no hacks Loving something is different than liking it The chapters are very short, but contain entertaining pictograms in the same style that Brendan Leonard has on his website semi-rad.com, or featured on his instagram account by the same name.
