The Messianic Torah Observer is an online ministry designed and intended for Torah Observant Believers in Y'shua Messiah. Thus we encourage Torah Living --but Torah Living Y'shua-style. Additionally we provide our listeners with the happenings and goings on in and around the Hebrew Roots communities. We accomplish much of this through Rod Thomas' discussions on his personal life journey as a Hebrew Roots--Disciple of Y'shua Messiah. The True Faith--the Hebrew Roots of the Christian Faith--profoundly affected and changed forever Rod's life and in turn he shares his thoughts and perspectives with you so that you too will experience the tremendous and untold spiritual riches available to each of us who answers the call to true discipleship. We disavow and reject denominationalism at any and every level. The Bible forms the basis of his perspectives and thoughts. Shalom.

In this 132nd reading in our 3-year reading cycle, we come to terms as it relates to our forgetting about God and His ways. Here in Deuteronomy 8, God reveals to us that we cannot live by physical food alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.

Choosing Yeshua as our Pesach-Shadows of Pesach 2024

I have chosen to discuss the shadow picture of Yeshua that is embedded in the Passover and how He fulfills the role of our Pesach instead of discussing the elements of Passover and Unleavened Bread for Pesach 2024. In this discussion, we highlight the Torah instruction to select and take unto ourselves a perfect lamb to serve as our Pesach on the 10th Day of the Month of the Aviv and how Yeshua perfectly fulfilled that critical requirement of Passover.

I enjoy the Messianic Midrashim

Thanks Rod. Many people in the One Law Torah Observant movement of Y’shua don’t have a way to dig into the text with others. Your podcast does a good job of offering helpful insights. I love J. Vernon MacGee and the Thru the Bible App except he didn’t get Torah right. Your podcast is reminiscent.

Proclaiming strong truth

I too have a messianic Torah observant podcast, but listen to other ones as well. This podcast I really enjoy, he shares a lot of truth and can tell that he has really done his homework. I have reached out to Rod a couple times and that has also been a good experience, a blessing to have met him. Enjoy his great sharing of truth.

Yesterday I tried to navigate the website that is associated with this podcast. This year with all the hoopla concerning the feasts and the timing of the feasts I only found further frustration in trying to find a way to contact the authors.
This podcast is very studious, and for many reasons I feel encouraged to continue to try to seek a connection with this group. I realize that when a believer is delivered such a huge plate of meat, that it stimulates the need to discuss the matters associated with such a feast.
I am hoping that I will figure out how to contact this group, if only to know what the dates of the feasts are. My phone will not download speakerpipe (or whatever it's called).... And there is no email contact information on the website. Some of us believers don't want to be on Facebook because of the huge waste of precious time that that site (and downloading special apps for communication) involves.
Because of the confusion I believe I have missed Yom Kippur in a very important year. Could you do a podcast concerning feast dates… Specific dates please.
