We Get It
I love SNL. I haven’t missed an episode in at least 20 years. I really like this podcast too but when the SNL hosts or performers are diverse, the guys come off flippant (in my opinion). I can understand not knowing who someone is but they regularly mispronounce names when all they have to do is pull up a video of someone else saying their name. They go on and on and on and on about how they don’t know this person. I get it: it’s not their scene and they’re FAR removed from this culture and that’s okay. But it also seems like,as a recapper, they’d want to have a very base familiarity of who they’re critiquing. I’m old school and you couldn’t pay me to listen to a lot of stuff but they could at least IMDB the host/performer to inform a statement like “I’m not familiar with this person but I looked them up and they have a long list of accomplishments in this way or that.” (Or whatever). It sounds like I’m slamming them but I’m not. Just my opinion. Other than that they do a great job!!

I will be unsubscribing due to the new structure, in which the episodes on the free feed are only highlights of the full discussion, and have ad space. The full episodes are only available on Patreon. I won’t pretend to know...Read full review »
