“I tried to listen after looking at the great reviews but I don’t like this at all. The quality of her voice is very nice but I am not really pulled in by the story because her affectation and slight vocal fry is incredibly distracting to me. I assume this is intentional and probably supposed to be invoking an ASMR response, hence the name of the podcast but, the content needs to be delivered better. A nice voice only takes you so far when it’s a one note delivery and I really wanted a better storyteller. I’d be happier with her tapping on stuff or playing with someone’s hair in the back of a classroom.”
