Give it a miss
Really disappointing for an NPR podcast. The host has an annoying, nasal voice and an affected way of speaking that makes the lousy scriptwriting even harder to listen to. She also has a tendency to lecture the audience. In short: she's a pill. It's a great idea for a short podcast but after two eps I've had more than enough of whatever her name is.Read full review »

I absolutely love it. Cannot wait for new episodes to come out. I’ve always loved word origins going all the way back to On Words with John Ciardi.

I truly enjoy the subject of this podcast! This podcast is clearly for the word nerd and science lover combined. The host’s voice is wonderful. I feel like I’m listening to an old friend. I find her voice informative and soothing. #koala
