Great update on Science
Thanks BBC I am trained as a scientist back in the 90’s but today my vocation is more industrial oriented. This podcast keeps me updated on a lot of different parts of science and often reignite my interest in a topic. And then I get home and read a couple of hours original research papers. Joy joy joy. Two minor issues: 1) the last three years, there have been an increase in “political oriented” spots. I realize science and politics are related, but that is not science news. If I wish to learn about discrimination, oppression or funding, then there are podcasts about that. 2) Remember, science is more than COVID and Global warming. While they are probably the two most important topics, it should not cover 75% of scientific reporting. To end on a more positive note. LOVE the “postcards” from scientists. It’s like being with them. And it could be expanded to include scientists in their natural habitat, both in university and industrial settings. Merry Christmas Soren

I listen to a lot of science podcasts, and whilst many are good, and many cover the same big stories, time and time again Roland Pease asks more insightful questions, and gives that little bit more time and space to the topic than others
