“I cannot remember what I did with my life before A&E’s Scientology and the Aftermath and now the Scientology Fairgame podcast. Mike and Leah, I simply just love you with all of my heart! There are not enough good words to praise the work you’re doing to expose the evils of Scientology, give a voice to survivors of not only this cult but other cults, and try to bring an end to this madness. As someone who grew up in the Christian church, I have seen the good, the bad, and the ugly in learning the differences between religion and faith. Any “religion” has the potential to do harm because religion is based on rules/legalism, self-works, and never being good enough to meet the standard set before you. Faith, on the other hand, along with grace and mercy, is accepting a gift that requires nothing from the person and is given in spite of any shortcomings. What I love about the work you’re doing is that you are helping people realize they are worthy of love and that no human-created religion has the answers. I pray for your efforts to continue to make huge impacts that shake the foundations of Scientology and move people in power to bring these horrors/actual crimes to an end! Even though I do not live in an area where this cult is prevalent, I am always on the lookout for ways to help others (probably explains why I’m a social worker), and I will jump at the first opportunity I find to directly effect change in this fight. God bless you both and everyone involved in this cause, as well as all cult survivors.
P.S. I cannot help but laugh at anyone with a negative comment about this podcast because it’s glaringly obvious they are either A) a Scientologist, B) someone who didn’t see the TV show, or C) is someone who just likes to be offended at everything and everyone. I would just say to them, “Be quiet and be blessed.” 😁”
