Second Best was not my introduction to D&D, but it was my introduction to D&D podcasts. I started listening when I was stuck in a bad place mentally, and quickly became obsessed. When I was struggling to find reasons to be happy, this sweet, silly, and heroic podcast was there for me. I’ve reached out and spoken to the cast as well, and they’ve been kind enough to answer!
Second Best blends humor and heartbreakingly emotional storytelling into a perfect podcast that’ll have you on the edge of your seat one moment and giggling aloud in the next. It’s a good podcast made by good people.
(Have I mentioned how good the music is too?? It’s really good.)
