Afton Vechery: Modern Fertility CEO and Co-Founder
Listen now
Description
Afton Vechery is the co-founder and CEO of Modern Fertility, an innovative healthcare company making personalized fertility information and support accessible to women everywhere. Vechery founded the company in 2017, and just this year, it was valued at $225 million during an acquisition by telehealth company Ro. It’s no surprise that prior to creating the brand, Vechery began her career in healthcare private equity, where she learned of the outdated practices and predatory pricing models within the booming fertility healthcare sector. She then went on to work in strategic operations at various health tech startups and, most recently, ran the consumer-tools division at 23andMe. On this episode of Second Life, find out how Vechery drew inspiration from her past careers to build a brand that would greatly change the women’s health industry forever.
