My Favorite Writing Podcast

I'm a big fan of Matt Bird's book. In fact, it's my favorite book for writing advice, so that's why I started following the blog and podcast. Listening is like sitting in on an intense conversation on the craft punctuated by humor, with Author James Kennedy offering the perfect counterpoint as co-host.

Great Podcast!

Useful insights from talented teachers arguing the art of storytelling. I didn’t think there could be tension and conflict in a podcast about craft, but Matt and James are able to pull it off with minimal expletives. Thanks

So so

I have been greatly enjoying reading Matt Bird’s book the secret of story and I am enthralled with his guidance. But this podcast is a bit of a mess of debating over terms and concepts that could have been thought through before the discussion. I find myself trying to give the podcast speakers corrections and guidance about how to communicate.
