Awakening
The day that you realize that xyz is just a name given to this particular body and one day this name will perish along with this body. Everything is transitional including death. It will come and go. It will come again and then again. Without any end. In next death you will be bearing a new body, a new name and it will continue....

Suffering vs Solution
I want to share a story I read some where.
Once a man was driving home from his office. He had lots of worries on his mind. He had a bad day. Sales were going down and he was anxious, disturbed and in lot of suffering as his boss had fired him. As soon as his car approached a bridge, he heard sound of a flat tyre. He got down to check and it was in fact a flat tyre. This agitated him even more. He was furious as he changed the tyre. In the end as he picked the screws...

Emotional Hurt
Reward or Punishment, no one can escape. There will always be an equal and reverse reaction to what we think, speak or do. It can be a reward for our good deeds or punishment for our evil acts. In this particular article I wish to ponder on how we act on our inter personal relationships and how it brings suffering to the subject and in turn to ourselves.

Inner Activism
Humans by nature are born activists. We always have a strong urge to change the world around us. Change the person in front of us. Change the situations around us. But till the time we are looking for a change outside of us, nothing happens. Here, I wish to bring out that activist in us to change something within. That I believe is true activism. Change yourself the way you want the person in front of you to be.

Memories
So I am 50 years old. My life has been a roller coaster. I have seen highs and lows. I have laughed, I have cried, I have danced, I have mourned. I have done some great things, some ugly things, some things which just needed to be done....

Death.
That final moment and that fear
The one topic which makes people uncomfortable is Death. Either they just don’t want to talk about it or they feel uncomfortable even thinking about it. There can be various reasons:
1. They are in complete denial that this can happen to them also
2. The topic is too scary to think and discuss
In my experience of discussing this topic with varied people, the reasons I have been able to decipher till now....

Shunya – Nothingness
Mindfulness or mindlessness? A debate rages.
Mindfulness is concentrating on the present. Mindlessness is mind less thought process. But I talk about neither. I talk about no thought what so ever.
What happens in the state of nothingness!!!

Purpose of Life
Purpose of life is a simple mathematical formula. Each life has two sides to it. A compassionate (Buddha) side and demonic (Devil) side. Life is a constant struggle between a Buddha and a Devil. Purpose of life is to find the formula where we add more of Buddha acts and minus more and more of Devil acts. And what are these Buddha acts. Its concentrating on each word i speak and each action i take. Concentrating, if my words or deeds are going to bring joy only to me alone...

Karma
My main source of suffering is my Boss. He is the most evil person living on this planet. If I can change my job, I will be a happier person, as then I will not have to work with this terrible person.
My main source of suffering is my illness. If I am able to overcome this illness, I will be the happiest person alive
My main source of suffering is an unsteady job. I am unable to find or retain a job for long. I don’t have money to feed my family. I just want to have some steady...

Human Suffering – Part 2
Arrogance and Ego.
These are two very wonderful emotions which I come across incessantly. These emotions I call road blocks which render us helpless on our quest for happiness. The biggest causes for our suffering. I see people suffering. But these two emotions don’t even let them acknowledge that there is a problem. You cannot work on a problem unless you know there is one in the first place. These two cause our minds to think that all is well and the subject is...

Life is a series of experiences. Good and bad. Good don’t last long but the bad lingers on and on. Something like a bad after taste. What if there exists a mouth freshener. Does anything like this exists. Is their any way we can get rid of the bad patches in our lives. If something like this exists then why don’t we know about it. Buddha said that there is a way....

Buddhism teaches the concept of rebirth. So we die and are reborn and this process continues.
This whole concept of life and death I feel is misunderstood. The fact of ‘LIFE’ has nothing to do with ‘DEATH’. Though ‘DEATH’ has a relation to ‘LIFE’..........

What did you bring with you
We all are same. No difference at all. The process of child birth is the same across the world. The child at birth knows no religion, race, color, social standing….. The mother embracing the child is the same across the world. Tending and feeding the child is the same. Is there any difference between a parent’s love for their child in different parts of the world. At the end, the death is the same. Is there any difference between the pain we endure on loss of our...

I was traveling in my car with my friend the other day. I always carry lots of big packets of cookies in my car. These cookies are for the homeless people and kids I see on the road. So instead of giving them money, I offer them something to eat. What happened that day, kept me thinking how we humans can have different perspectives to the same situation. It was a small incident which nobody would even remember but it stuck with me as I study human behavior very closely.
As we approached a...
