The mother’s voice is interesting but tolerable after a time but Brandon having such a old voice makes you picture him as 60 when he’s really 35 which is kind of painful to the imagination who knows one thing and pictures another.

Enjoying these books, but...
Fully agree about the voice of the mother. I’m at chapter 13 and I’m considering another option because I listen primarily to fall asleep but when I hear that ...voice?...I start to think about it too much. Google translate voice
All the voices are great, except the voice that reads the mother. It sounds like early Siri, or google translate. The whole sentence goes up, and then down at the end of the sentence so mechanically. Skip to ch 3 if you want to listen to it before starting
